Sr. Financial Systems Analyst - Aderant Expert

This role sits within a global operations and IT financial systems environment supporting complex, high-performing professional services workflows.
You will act as a key technical owner of Aderant Expert, shaping how financial systems are configured, optimized, and integrated across the organization.
The position combines systems development, data architecture, and business collaboration to support mission-critical financial operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable system solutions and enhancements.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the design, development, and implementation of Aderant Expert customizations, including Classic and Framework forms, workflows, rules, and inquiries, ensuring scalable and efficient system configurations.
  • Develop and maintain DocuDraft templates and documents using the DocuDraft toolkit to support financial and operational reporting needs.
  • Design data warehouse solutions for financial systems, including optimized data models, ETL pipelines, and reporting structures to improve data accuracy and performance.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations to enhance financial processing, business intelligence, and application connectivity.
  • Support system lifecycle activities including selection, design, testing, deployment, and integration of financial and third-party applications.
  • Provide second-level application support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, support UAT, and ensure successful delivery of system enhancements.
  • Produce documentation including system specifications, data mapping, effort estimates, and support guides for financial systems.
  • Mentor junior analysts and developers, contributing to knowledge sharing and team capability building.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Aderant Expert, including customization and platform configuration.
  • Strong expertise in financial systems development tools such as SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and PowerShell.
  • Experience working with enterprise financial systems and integrations, including APIs, data workflows, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert architecture, database structures, and Design Studio.
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms such as SharePoint, MS Access, Power Apps, Power BI, and Office 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience with Iron Python, REST APIs, and financial system integrations (e.g., time tracking, billing, expense management systems).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex, fast-paced, global environments.
