Job Description

About the Role
This role owns the commercial execution layer of our revenue engine - from the moment a deal enters late stage through contract signature, renewal, and the operational work that follows. You will sit at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and the districts we serve, and you will be the person who keeps deals moving cleanly and on time.

The role is high-volume, supporting a team of about 30 across Sales and Customer Success. With a growing customer base in the hundreds and the majority of renewals concentrated in a three-month window between July and September, prioritization, organization, and a view towards automation are all must-haves. You will manage that peak without dropping threads, because you have built systems that scale and a working style built around precision and proactive communication.

This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. You will inherit workable systems and be expected to make them better, including redesigning Salesforce data structures, creating smarter approval workflows, and actively pursuing automation opportunities including AI-assisted tooling and contract signing automation through our own product. We run lean by design. Part of this job is continuously improving the systems that allow us to do that.
You will report into the Revenue Operations function.

What You’ll Do

Contract Execution & Judgment
  • Own contract initiation, redlines, modifications, and e-signature routing end-to-end, handling most exceptions independently and escalating with clear rationale when needed.
  • Coordinate directly with district contacts on contract language, non-standard terms, and redline resolution - negotiating with commercial confidence rather than routing everything through leadership.
  • Manage vendor paperwork, insurance certificates, and supplemental document requirements that accompany roughly a quarter of contracts.
  • Process termination agreements and ensure churn and declines are reflected accurately in Salesforce.

Deal Orchestration
  • Drive late-stage opportunities from qualified deal to closed-won, coordinating across AEs, CS, districts, and Finance with clarity on sequencing, ownership, and timelines.
  • Own time-to-close as a metric you actively manage, including identifying blockers, removing them, and keeping all parties informed without waiting to be asked.
  • Lead RFP coordination when they arise, managing the multi-stakeholder process without requiring a project manager above you.
  • Partner with AEs and CS on kickoff preparation.

Pricing Execution
  • Own rate card maintenance and documentation, keeping pricing accurate and current as the business evolves.
  • Validate AE submissions for pricing accuracy and policy compliance before they reach signature, catching discount exceptions and flagging out-of-policy terms.
  • Track discount patterns across deals and bring observations and anomalies to leadership proactively.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between Sales, CS, and Finance on pricing questions and exceptions.

Renewals & CRM Ownership
  • Manage all annual renewals, including bulk automation for smaller accounts, with peak volume concentrated July through September.
  • Own Salesforce data integrity across contract values, dates, discounting, and renewal tracking - not just entering data but designing and maintaining the structure that makes it trustworthy.
  • Put together monthly metrics on new lands, expansions, annual increases, and churn for leadership reporting.
  • Own commissions execution end-to-end: track attainment against plan, calculate amounts owed per rep each month, distribute statements to the revenue team, and deliver final figures to People Ops for payroll processing - with accuracy that people can depend on.

Operational Leverage
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across the deal and renewal workflow including AI-assisted tooling, contract signing automation via Informed K12’s own product, and Salesforce architecture improvements.
  • Make system and process decisions with downstream consequences in mind, not just immediate efficiency.
  • Document processes and system logic so the team can scale around you.
  • Triage, train, and set expectations with AEs and CS on contract processes, turnaround times, and client requests.

Who You Are
You’re a seasoned operator who has spent several years in the commercial execution layer of a B2B SaaS business. You’ve worked deals, managed renewals at volume, navigated redlines, and built enough pattern recognition to know what’s standard, what’s workable, and what needs to go up the chain. You don’t need a playbook for every situation. You’ve worked enough deals to recognize patterns, handle standard exceptions, and know when something needs escalation.

Your outputs are accurate the first time. When something is going to be late or blocked, you say so before someone has to ask. You hold AEs and CS to process without damaging the relationships that make the work happen. You’re comfortable discussing contract terms directly with district stakeholders and can hold the line on commercial terms when needed.

You think about systems the way an engineer thinks about code - what breaks downstream if I do it this way? You’re not waiting for someone to hand you an automation opportunity. You’re already looking for the next place to remove a manual step, and you know enough about Salesforce architecture and AI tooling to actually build the solution, not just identify the problem.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in a deal desk, contracts management, or revenue operations role at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated Salesforce data ownership, with deep understanding of field logic, object relationships, data integrity, and report building. Not just familiarity; you’ve made architecture decisions.
  • Experience managing high-volume renewal cycles with minimal errors.
  • Comfort navigating non-standard contract terms independently, with a clear sense of when to escalate.
  • Strong communication and expectation-setting with sales-facing teams; you’ve enforced process with AEs and held the line.
  • Experience validating pricing submissions and maintaining rate card documentation.
  • A track record of using data to flag anomalies and support recommendations, not just run reports.

What May Make You Even More Successful Here

  • Experience with the public sector or K–12 clients - you understand state-by-state procurement variation and know how to move institutional buyers.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools for contract review, summarization, or workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise contracts where customization is the norm.
  • Background that spans both deal desk and contracts management, not just one side.

If You…
  • Have a specific system, not just a general approach, for managing deal volume without dropping threads
  • Find yourself reaching for AI tools before asking someone else to do the manual work
  • Feel the pull to fix a process that’s slowing things down even when it’s not technically your job
  • Take the accuracy of a number that goes to payroll or legal as a personal standard
…we want to get to know you!
