Position Summary:
The Center forOccupational Medicine & Environmental Health Promotion, within theDepartment of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician'sAssistant to join their team. Under indirect supervision, the idealcandidate will provide primary occupational health care, plus evaluation ofsome non-occupational health care in a clinic setting to a specified populationof non-emergency patients. This person will supervise and coordinateclinic support staff as well as complete related administrative duties asdelegated by the Medical Director. The ideal candidate will have theability to work well within a team setting.
Under general supervision, provides independent acute and/or routine medical care to a specified population. Provides consultation and advice to others as a highly-specialized practitioner. May supervise support staff in an out-of-hours or remote clinical setting.

Through ourcollaborative work effort, we support the faculty and enhance the missions ofthe department, school, Health Sciences Center and University.

Conditions of Employment:
- CPR Certified.
- May be required to submit to annual TB and rubella screening.
- UNM will provide Hepatitis vaccination, candidate may decline vaccination through declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous employer.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable.
- Must maintain certification status.

- Experience in primary care
- Experience in pre-placement/post job offerexaminations and/or work-related medical surveillance examinations
- Ability to clearly communicate medical information toprofessional practitioners, department representatives, and patients
