Description: Occupational Therapist – PRN

Crane Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops individualized treatment plans, and delivers occupational therapy services designed to improve functional performance in activities of daily living (ADLs). The OT collaborates with physicians, rehabilitation staff, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and establish individualized plans of care.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions focused on ADLs, functional mobility, and adaptive techniques.
  • Design and fabricate adaptive equipment, splints, and braces as needed.
  • Monitor patient progress and revise treatment plans to meet evolving needs.
  • Educate patients and families on energy conservation, adaptive equipment, and functional strategies.
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs).
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation and patient charges.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, staff meetings, and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements: Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Texas Occupational Therapy license.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills.
