Job Description
Position Summary:
Evaluates, plans, schedules, and administers treatment to patients as prescribed by referring physicians, charges and documents patients' progress, maintains other appropriate records, and assists in the training of students, evaluating of equipment, promoting occupational therapy within the hospital and community, as well as keeping abreast of new techniques and possibilities of service.
Education:
Current Texas licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist. Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
Job Knowledge:
Knowledge of all procedures in Occupational Therapy. Must have an understanding of basic supervision.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Patient lifting and transferring.
Lifting and pushing of heavy and light equipment.
Constant standing and walking.
