Community Relations – Jennings at Notre Dame Village (Chardon, Ohio)
Jennings is seeking an energetic, creative and compassionate professional - who enjoys building relationships - to join the Community Relations Team. This role serves as a key point of connection for prospective residents and families as well as nurturing relationships within the broader community for a vibrant senior living community rooted in Catholic values.
About Jennings at Notre Dame Village
Nestled in a beautiful, serene setting, Jennings at Notre Dame Village is just 8 years old and is one of Jennings' five senior living communities which together provide a full continuum of care in Northeast Ohio. The campus offers including charming cottage homes, a modern apartment building, and memory care assisted living within three intimate household residences. Our campus is designed to foster connection, independence, and a deep sense of community.
Position Summary
The Community Relations position is responsible for assisting individuals and families in navigating choices in residences and services that support successful aging - guiding them with compassion and empathy. This individual will also have an integral role in census development, marketing strategies, nurturing existing relationships and building new opportunities within the broader community. The candidate must be ready to participate in a culture of excellence in care and service and ensure alignment with Jennings’ Catholic mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively and professionally with potential applicants and respond to all inquiries within the guidelines and framework of Jennings’ inquiry processes.
- Schedule on-site events and represent Jennings in community events.
- Implement tactics defined by the marketing plan and assist in developing marketing strategies to meet goals.
- Develop community relationships with local partners and potential referral sources, such as social services, aging services agencies and health care professionals.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and the broader community.
- Uphold and advance Jennings’ mission, values, and ministry-focused approach
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensure requirements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service with compassionate, professional demeanor
- Strong administrative, organizational and project management skills
- Expertise in developing and nurturing relationships
- Proficiency of technology and various software
- Ability to communicate articulately and professionally in through written communications as well as public speaking
- Passion for participating in a non-profit culture of mission and values
- Experience in aging services preferred
