SUMMARY
As a Nurse Practitioner, your superior interpersonal and empathetic skills, as well as your comprehension of diagnostic procedures greatly assists you in providing medical services to patients. This role includes the evaluation and management of sleep disorders across the lifespan, including complex psychiatric conditions such as insomnia, narcolepsy, parasomnias (e.g., night terrors), and sleep disturbances associated with psychiatric comorbidities.

LOCATION: Linden Oaks (Primary Location); rotation to Greece and Batavia as needed.

SCHEDULE: Days; Monday-Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Satisfaction. Interacts on a frequent, regular and daily basis with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies and/or payor agencies. Interaction and communication requires expressed empathy, understanding, problem-solving, education, information gathering, process influencing and counseling. Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages a wide range of sleep disorders, including those with psychiatric or behavioral components.
Treatment. Prescribe medication, perform minor procedures and coordinate treatment; provide health education and guidance regarding treatment; communicate with, and counsel family members; recommend community resources and refer patients to collaborating physician, behavioral health specialists, or other specialists as indicated.
Administrative Assistance. Perform administrative responsibilities such as updating patient charts, billing codes and completing required documents from outside agencies
EDUCATION:
- MS: Nursing (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
- NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
