Job Summary

The Director of Mission Advancement plays a pivotal role in promoting the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul of Seattle-King County. This leader will develop and implement initiatives that deepen the impact of the organization’s work through education, outreach, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (preferably), with a passion for social justice, and will possess expertise in counseling, theology, or pastoral work. Experience in group facilitation, curriculum development, program management, and training is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Program Development: Create, implement, and oversee mission-based programs that align with the organization’s goals, ensuring they address the needs of the local community.

- Curriculum Design: Develop training materials and curricula focused on deepening the community’s understanding of Catholic social teaching and the works of St. Vincent de Paul.

- Group Facilitation: Lead workshops, training sessions, and group discussions that foster collaboration and advance the mission of the organization.

- Outreach and Engagement: Work closely with local parishes, schools, and community groups to enhance awareness of the organization’s mission and increase participation in its initiatives.

- Staff and Volunteer Development: Provide training and development for staff and volunteers, ensuring alignment with mission values and strategic goals.

- Program Management: Oversee the execution and evaluation of mission-based programs, ensuring high-quality implementation and measurable outcomes.

- Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the development team to secure funding for mission advancement initiatives through grant writing and donor engagement.

-Community Liaison: Act as the organization's representative in mission-related community efforts, building relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Theology, Pastoral Work, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

- Bilingual, preferably Spanish and English.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in group facilitation, curriculum development, training, and program management.

- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

- Passion for social justice and a commitment to the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul.

- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse communities and foster meaningful relationships.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working within Catholic or faith-based organizations.

- Ability to design and implement mission-based curricula.

- Fundraising or development experience, particularly in a nonprofit setting.
