Description:

Job Title: Heavy Engine Technician

Our company is seeking a skilled Heavy Engine Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Engine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty engines used in various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with engines.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty engines, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems

- Perform routine maintenance on engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot engine issues

- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed

- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding engine issues and repairs needed

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when working with heavy machinery

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a vocational or technical program in diesel mechanics or a related field

- At least 2 years of experience working with heavy-duty engines

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
