Accountant 3 at Emerson Hospital – Concord, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, prepares and maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to general ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.

Job Functions:

• Prepare and post assigned journal entries
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting and CIP reporting

• Provide assistance to departmental supervisors in regard to expense variances, work as liaison to resolve accounting issues
• Record rent, CAM and income for various rental properties based on reporting from the third party property management company
• Review, analyze and report activity for assigned general ledger accounts and prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Assist FP&A team with the annual operational expense budget
• Collaborate with finance team for a timely monthly close
• Assists in preparation of audited financial statements and provide audit support
• Other duties as assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting preferred
  

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years accounting experience preferred

• Licensure and/or Certification: None required
