Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager- Endoscopy Center
Location: Charlotte & Concord
Reports To: Director of Nursing
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: A Clinical Supervisor RN (Registered Nurse) is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of two endoscopy centers, ensuring high-quality patient care by managing staff, monitoring patient care delivery, implementing policies and procedures, providing clinical guidance, and promoting professional development within the teams, all while adhering to regulatory standards and best practices within their scope of practice as a registered nurse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Staff Management:
- Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to nursing staff based on their skill level and patient needs.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
- Conduct staff evaluations and provide coaching and mentorship to develop clinical skills.
- Provide ongoing education and training to clinical staff on new procedures, clinical updates, and best practices.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding new nurses.
- Clinical Oversight:
- Review patient charts and care plans to ensure quality and appropriateness of care.
- Monitor patient status, identify potential complications, and initiate necessary interventions.
- Investigate and address patient safety concerns, reporting incidents according to guidelines and managing appropriate follow up.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure adequate availability of supplies and equipment on the floor to meet patient care needs.
- Quality Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in patient care and implement quality initiatives.
- Analyze data to monitor clinical outcomes and identify trends.
- Conduct root cause analysis for adverse events and implement corrective actions.
- Education and Training:
- Provide clinical education and in-service training to staff on new procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Facilitate staff development opportunities and continuing education.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Lead and motivate the clinical team to achieve high standards of patient care.
- Facilitate effective communication between healthcare team members, patients, and families.
- Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints.
- Act as a leader in emergency situations, providing direction and support to staff and coordinating care as needed.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels, which may include filling in as needed due to call outs.
- Manage and maintain employee files.
- Assist with management of safety and quality measures.
- Monitor budget and resource utilization.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ and or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- One to three years related experience and/or training
- Maintains knowledge, skills and abilities through ongoing education.
- Completes all mandatory reviews/educational required and assigned.
- Is actively committed to meeting / exceeding employee expectations / satisfaction in the performance of job functions.
- Retains all accreditations, licensures and designations in good standing.
- Maintains compliance with all laws and applicable regulatory requirements. Acts promptly to comply with required changes.
Specialized Knowledge Required – Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations
- Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or compact state
- BLS required
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

- Travel: As required for position. This position requires the individual to travel between multiple endoscopy centers within CDHA.
