About This Position
Description:
North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery (NPOS) has supported communities in and around Western Pennsylvania for 60 years. As a large specialized group of Board-Certified Oral Surgeons, we have high expectations for our patient's care and for our team to exceed their needs. Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during oral surgical procedures in a clinic
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies
- Set up sterile fields and ensure adherence to aseptic techniques
- Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records using DSN and other electronic systems
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and instructions to patients

Requirements:Experience:
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist preferred
- Familiarity with DSN or other electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- X-Ray Certification
- CPR Certification
