Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer, is responsible for overall loan servicing operations management and oversight of the loan servicing support staff. This includes document preparation, processing, servicing, accounting, collections, appraisal order and review, quality assurance, reporting functions, and customer service. Leads, trains, and supervises the loan servicing personnel, designs and administers systems, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing. Communicates with department managers to promote efficient and accurate workflow. Management responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all loan servicing transactions in the residential, consumer, and commercial loan departments, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Guides and directs activities of subordinates and encourages their growth and development. Makes loan servicing policy and procedure recommendations to the Chief Credit Officer.

Education, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • A college graduate (minimum of an Associate’s Degree, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent in lending functions with at least three years of progressive responsibility in the lending arena.
  • Strong management skills with at least three years of management experience.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills to conduct productive interviews with customers and relating to subordinates and branch personnel.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
  • A thorough understanding of the requirements and features of the loan products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Good organizational, communication, and public relations skills, particularly in working with documentation that requires special and confidential handling.
  • Strong understanding and comfort level in working with computers. Knowledge of the following programs: Word, Excel, Access, Calyx, Abrigo/Sageworks, LaserPro, OCC’s APR program, FNMA DU, Fiserv loan functions, and/or the ability to learn the programs fairly quickly and easily.
