About the Role:
This position ensures that all titles and MCO's are received, logged, and properly filed away, which is essential for efficient operations. The Filing Clerk will be responsible for managing both physical and digital titles, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. By maintaining an orderly filing system, the Filing Clerk contributes to the overall productivity of the team and supports various departments in their daily functions. Ultimately, this role is vital for facilitating smooth communication and information flow within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Great communication skills
- Basic knowledge of data entry and office equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic titles, calling on missing titles and/or Release of Lien's when needed.
- Receive and log incoming titles and MCO's, ensuring they are filed correctly and promptly.
- Apply for duplicate titles - in state and out of state
- Call lienholders for missing titles and/or Release of Lien's
- Assist team members in retrieving files and information as needed to support their tasks.
- Perform regular audits of the filing system to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Skills:
The required skills for this position, such as strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, are essential for ensuring that all titles/MCO's are accurately filed and easily accessible. Daily work will involve using these skills to log, sign over, and file titles/MCO's, which helps maintain an efficient workflow. Communication skills are very important, as the Filing Clerk will interact with team members to assist them in retrieving necessary files and will also interact with lienholders for missing titles and Release of Lien's.
