About This Position

Powers Health is hiring a RN Clinical Educator!

Position primarily located at Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana

Primary Hours: M-F 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Part-time .8 Benefit Eligible

Job Description:

In the role of a clinical practitioner, educator and consultant; develops and implements nursing techniques designed to improve patient care and staff development. Makes decisions related to staff and leadership development based on identified needs. The Educator assesses learning needs of Powers Health staff; plans, develops, and implements programs to meet identified learning needs; conducts studies and benchmarking activities; evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities; utilizes interactive processes in providing educational services which will contribute to exceeding the expectations of patients, providers, employees, in the provision of high quality, cost-effective services. Leads training programs throughout the system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years recent nursing experience in clinical area of focus.
  • Maintains current BLS, Instructor status preferred.
  • Demonstrates leadership potential through the capacity for independent discriminative and creative, evidence-based thought, judgment, and action.
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively with other nurse clinicians, staff nurses, and other educational personnel and resource personnel.
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, organized, team centered attitude, ability to motivate others, and prioritize work needs.
  • Demonstrates mid-level understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), EPIC software applications and Learning Management Systems.
  • Possesses excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Car and current Indiana State driver’s license required.
