Responsible for crafting exceptional sushi while upholding the company’s high standards for quality, precision, and presentation across multiple locations, events, and catering services. This role manages workflow, maintains an organized workspace, and works closely with front-of-house staff to deliver a memorable guest experience. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, takes pride in their craft, and consistently demonstrates excellence in both culinary execution and service.
Pay
Weekly guarantee based on experience, inclusive of hourly wages and tips.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide range of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and hand rolls, with precision and consistency.
- Ensure all ingredients meet the highest standards for freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and sanitary workspace.
- Manage inventory and communicate supply needs proactively.
- Uphold presentation and service standards for every seating.
- Travel between company locations and events as needed.
- Train new staff on company standards, techniques, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sushi chef in fine dining or fast-paced settings.
- Skilled at managing workflow and accommodating guest requests.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Engaging and personable with guests.
- Knowledgeable in traditional sushi techniques and modern culinary trends.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel between locations.
