Substitute Teacher(s) in Nashville, Tennessee at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC

Immaculate Conception School is seeking dependable and professional substitute teachers to provide classroom instruction and supervision when a regular teacher is absent. The substitute teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, faith-filled learning environment while following the lesson plans and expectations provided by the classroom teacher.

• Follow the lesson plans, schedules, and instructions provided by the classroom teacher.
• Provide instruction and support to students throughout the school day.
• Maintain appropriate classroom organization, behavior, and routines.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, and dismissal.
• Promote a respectful environment consistent with the Catholic identity and mission of Immaculate Conception School.
• Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Protect the confidentiality of students, families, and school information.
• Communicate any academic, behavioral, medical, or safety concerns to the appropriate school administrator.
• Leave clear notes for the classroom teacher regarding completed work, student behavior, and any concerns from the day.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the principal or school administration.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework, teaching experience, or experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dependable, flexible, patient, and professional.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, staff, and families.
• Willingness to support the teachings, values, and mission of the Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception School.
• Must successfully complete all required background screening, Safe Environment training, and employment requirements of Immaculate Conception School and the Diocese of Nashville.

The substitute teacher must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, and move throughout the school day. The position may require lifting classroom materials or assisting students when necessary.
