Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator

Reports To: HR Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Details

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Evansville, WI

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position. Employees must work a minimum of 3 days on-site, with Mondays always required to support weekly recruiting, onboarding, and HR team activities. Additional onsite days may be required based on business needs, interviews, orientation schedules, training, or special projects.

The selected candidate will work full-time onsite during the first month and hours may be set for you during that time, for onboarding and training. Daily work hours are flexible between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., based on business needs and manager approval.

Position Summary

Baker Manufacturing Company is seeking an organized, proactive, and customer-focused Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.

This position is responsible for coordinating recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities across the organization, with a primary focus on hourly manufacturing, warehouse, and skilled trades positions while assisting with salaried recruiting efforts as needed. The Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator serves as the central point of coordination throughout the hiring process by partnering with hiring managers, candidates, staffing agencies, and recruiting partners to ensure positions are filled efficiently and candidates receive an outstanding hiring experience.

The role is responsible for developing job descriptions and job advertisements, coordinating recruiting activities, preparing offer letters, maintaining recruiting documentation, helping build and improve onboarding processes within Paylocity, and ensuring hiring managers remain engaged throughout the hiring process. During slower recruiting periods, this position supports general Human Resources administration and maintains confidential employee records.

Essential ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Recruiting

· Coordinate full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing, warehouse, skilled trades, and office support positions across multiple company locations.

· Assist with recruiting activities for salaried and professional positions as needed.

· Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop recruiting strategies.

· Develop, update, and maintain job descriptions in partnership with department managers.

· Create compelling and accurate job advertisements that attract qualified candidates.

· Post, update, and manage job openings through Paylocity, JobTarget, company websites, and other recruiting platforms.

· Partner with JobTarget and other recruiting vendors to maximize applicant flow and recruiting effectiveness.

· Work closely with staffing agencies regarding open positions, candidate submissions, interview scheduling, and temporary staffing needs.

· Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.

· Conduct initial phone interviews and candidate pre-screenings.

· Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.

· Prepare and distribute offer letters and pre-employment documentation.

· Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.

· Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.

· Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions.

· Track recruiting metrics, applicant flow, and hiring activity.

· Monitor job posting performance and recommend improvements to increase candidate quality and application volume.

· Research recruiting trends, sourcing strategies, and best practices to continuously improve recruiting efforts.

· Assist with recruitment marketing initiatives, including social media postings, hiring event coordination, and employer branding efforts.

· Maintain recruiting templates, interview guides, offer letter templates, and hiring documentation.

· Monitor all open requisitions and proactively follow up with hiring managers to ensure interviews, candidate feedback, and hiring decisions remain on schedule.

· Communicate recruiting progress and hiring updates to the HR Manager.

Onboarding & New Hire Experience

· Coordinate all pre-employment activities for new hires.

· Prepare onboarding paperwork and employment documentation.

· Coordinate orientation schedules and new hire logistics.

· Assist in building, implementing, and continuously improving onboarding workflows within Paylocity.

· Create and maintain onboarding forms, templates, digital documents, communications, and checklists.

· Ensure all employment documentation is completed accurately and processed timely.

· Partner with supervisors to ensure new employees have a positive onboarding experience.

· Monitor onboarding processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and employee engagement.

Human Resources Administration

· Prepare employment letters and HR-related correspondence.

· Maintain accurate personnel files, recruiting records, and confidential HR documentation.

· Scan, organize, and maintain electronic and paper employee files.

· Assist with employee communications, company announcement boards, and internal communications.

· Maintain HR forms, templates, and employment documents.

· Assist with HR compliance and recordkeeping requirements.

· Support special HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Provide excellent customer service to employees, candidates, and managers.

· Perform other Human Resources duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

· High school diploma or GED.

· Minimum of three years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, or administrative coordination.

· Strong organizational and project management skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).

Preferred

· Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Bilingual (Spanish/English).

· Manufacturing, warehouse, or skilled trades recruiting experience.

· Experience with Paylocity or a similar Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

· Experience creating job descriptions and employment advertisements.

· Experience working with JobTarget or other online recruiting platforms.

· Experience partnering with staffing agencies.

· Experience coordinating onboarding programs.
