Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative at our Pet Food Distributor plays a crucial role in supporting our pet industry retailers by efficiently processing daily orders through various channels including phone, fax, email, EDI, and web. This position collaborates closely with Outside Sales to facilitate the internal processing of promotions and resolves customer inquiries and complaints. The Customer Service Representative interacts extensively with multiple departments including Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Operations to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process a high volume of retail purchase orders received via phone, fax, email, and web platforms.
2. Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to order processing and customer inquiries.
3. Assist sales representatives and vendors in managing promotions and fulfilling special requests from customers.
4. Adhere to strict deadlines to ensure timely completion of daily orders within our ERP system.
5. Utilize strong tenkey and typing skills to accurately input data and process orders efficiently.
6. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
7. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and resolution of issues.
8. Be flexible and available to work overtime as needed to meet business demands and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or order processing role preferred.
• Proficient in using ERP systems for order entry and processing.
• Strong tenkey and typing skills with high accuracy and speed.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to meet business needs.

This position has a starting salary of $20.00 per hour.

Schedule: M-Th 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM / F 7:30 AM to 4:00PM
