Job Description

Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Casting
Reports to: Supervisor
Position : Days
Position Summary:
The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing the molds for the Casting line. This work includes meticulous hand work and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
Hand polish molds
Ensure dimensions and surface finish are maintained
Use manual drill press
Fill out required production documents
Assemble molds
Test molds for leaks
Maintain clean/organized work area
Preform other duties as required.

Skills & Competencies:

Ability to work both independently and as a team.
Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and comprehend basic English
Ability to follow instructions
Basic math skills
Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.
Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
Able to work with and understand sensitive measuring equipment

Education & Experience:

High school degree or GED equivalence.
Experience die maintenance preferred.
Crane and forklift experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.
Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment.
