This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, R&D based in the United States.

This is a high-impact finance role embedded within a fast-paced, product-driven environment where financial insight directly shapes strategic decisions. You will act as a key partner to R&D and business leaders, translating complex data into clear narratives that guide investment, product development, and operational efficiency. The role blends strategic FP&A work with hands-on analytical execution, with a strong emphasis on SaaS metrics, forecasting, and cost analysis. You will help build and maintain financial models that connect product roadmaps to business outcomes. Working cross-functionally, you will support planning cycles, performance reviews, and executive decision-making. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytically driven finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, data-first culture.

Accountabilities:

You will serve as a strategic finance partner to R&D and business stakeholders, delivering insights, modeling, and analysis that support planning, performance tracking, and decision-making.

  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to deliver actionable insights supporting strategy, budgeting, and investment decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models tied to product roadmaps and R&D outcomes.
  • Support annual planning, long-term planning, forecasting cycles, and variance analysis across key cost drivers such as headcount, infrastructure, and AI-related expenses.
  • Produce KPI reporting and conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, variances, and root causes impacting performance.
  • Provide SaaS metrics analysis and benchmarking to inform business strategy and financial positioning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and finance teams to ensure accuracy, alignment, and consistency in reporting.
  • Lead or support small-scale projects that improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready presentations and financial narratives for leadership reviews and planning meetings.
Requirements:

This role requires a strong foundation in FP&A, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to translate financial data into strategic business insights.

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, including at least 2+ years in FP&A within a SaaS or technology-driven company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, business, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Planning) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau or similar platforms).
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with ability to manage and analyze large and complex datasets.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, forecasting methodologies, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range: $107,944 – $134,930 USD, plus bonus and benefits
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Remote-friendly work environment with overlap across Eastern and Pacific time zones
  • Opportunity to work closely with R&D and product teams on high-impact financial decisions
  • Exposure to strategic planning, SaaS analytics, and company-wide financial operations
  • Collaborative, high-ownership culture with strong cross-functional engagement
  • Opportunities to lead process improvements and strategic finance initiatives
  • Support for professional growth in a dynamic, scaling organization.
