Position Summary:
The Chief Executive Officer plans, develops, and establishes the policies, goals, and objectives of the Central Jersey Family Health Consortium in accordance with Board directives, CJFHC bylaws, and NJDOH regulations. Working directly or through staff, the CEO advances the organization’s mission, supports financial sustainability, and leads fundraising and strategic growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Strategic & Visionary Leadership
· Set overarching strategic direction and long-term vision in alignment with CJFHC’s core mission and vision.
· Translate broad strategic goals into actionable, measurable operational plans.
Fundraising & Revenue Generation
· Collaborate closely with the Board to develop an annual fundraising strategy.
· Spearhead development efforts, actively cultivating relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
Financial Management & Sustainability
· Assume ultimate responsibility for the fiscal integrity and health of CJFHC.
· Oversee the development and management of the annual budget, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements and regulations.
Board Engagement & Governance
· Function as the primary liaison between the staff and the Board of Trustees
· Provide the Board with accurate, timely data and insights to ensure they can make informed governance and policy decisions.
Operational & Staff Management
· Oversee day-to-day administration, ensuring programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.
· Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and retain a high-performing team while cultivating a positive, inclusive organizational culture.
External Relations & Advocacy
· Serve as the public face and primary spokesperson for the organization.
· Build strategic partnerships with NJ state agencies, community stakeholders, peer organizations, and the media.
Working Conditions:
There are no unusual work conditions associated with this position. Noise level in the office is moderate. Professional/business attire is required. Employees are required to attend meetings at external locations and will therefore experience external weather conditions.
Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a health-related field or in business (e.g., finance, accounting, or management). Demonstrated experience in leadership role in nursing or related field.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years progressive management/administrative/senior leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit sector. Strong understanding of nonprofit governance and operations required with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Experience with strategic planning, fundraising and fiscal management preferably. Maternal child health experience is highly desirable.
Computer proficiency required with Microsoft 365 and virtual platforms. Strong interpersonal & oral/written communication skills required.
Valid Driver’s license with the ability to provide proof of ongoing automobile insurance coverage. This position will entail reimbursable local and statewide travel utilizing personal vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
Employees are required to occasionally lift up to twenty pounds of materials or equipment.
