About the Role:
The Donor Outreach and Volunteer Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening the organization's community engagement and fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and engage donors and volunteers, ensuring sustained support for the organization's mission. The manager will cultivate meaningful relationships with donors and volunteers, enhancing their experience and encouraging ongoing participation. By coordinating outreach campaigns and volunteer programs, this role directly contributes to expanding the organization's impact and resource base. Ultimately, the Donor Outreach and Volunteer Manager ensures that both donors and volunteers feel valued and motivated to contribute to the organization's success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in donor relations, volunteer management, or community outreach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within nonprofit organizations or charitable foundations.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge.
- Event planning and coordination experience.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and volunteer engagement strategies.
- Certification in Volunteer Management or Fundraising (e.g., CFRE) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive outreach strategies to identify and engage potential donors and volunteers.
- Manage communication channels including email, social media, and events to maintain strong relationships with supporters.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and recognition programs to maximize volunteer involvement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with fundraising and program teams to align outreach efforts with organizational goals and campaigns.
- Track and analyze donor and volunteer data to measure engagement effectiveness and inform future strategies.
