As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of innovative fintech products used in complex payment ecosystems. Working within cross-functional product teams, you will take ownership of testing activities across the software development lifecycle, helping deliver seamless user experiences and robust platform functionality. This role combines hands-on manual testing with API validation, exploratory testing, and continuous process improvement in a collaborative, remote-first environment. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to maintain high quality standards while contributing to the evolution of testing practices. - Take ownership of quality assurance activities within cross-functional product teams, ensuring high standards across every stage of the development lifecycle.
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies covering functional, UI, API, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Perform thorough validation of web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and screen sizes, ensuring pixel-perfect user experiences.
- Test API endpoints, authentication flows, payload validation, error handling, and third-party integrations using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to define quality expectations early in the development process and promote shift-left testing practices.
- Create clear, reusable test cases, detailed defect reports, and comprehensive documentation to support efficient issue resolution.
- Review and improve test coverage, regression testing processes, QA documentation, and overall quality assurance methodologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA tools, workflows, and best practices while supporting a culture of quality across the organization.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manual and semi-automated testing of web-based applications.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with API testing, including authentication, payload validation, and error handling.
- Proven experience testing payment platforms, financial applications, transactional workflows, or similar business-critical systems.
- Strong knowledge of Postman, Swagger, Chrome DevTools, SQL, and test management platforms such as TestRail or Xray.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, frontend-backend interactions, session management, data validation, and application architecture.
- Experience performing responsive UI testing across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous, detail-oriented mindset and a strong focus on identifying functional and visual defects.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and communicate clearly within distributed cross-functional teams.
