This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing accounting and finance team within a fast-growing financial technology environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations while supporting broader initiatives that strengthen the accounting function.
The position combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and build scalable practices.
You will work closely with finance, treasury, data, and other cross-functional teams to solve complex accounting and operational challenges.
Your expertise will contribute to financial close, reporting, compliance, audit readiness, and the development of effective internal controls.
The role also provides meaningful ownership of projects that improve efficiency and resolve issues beyond standard accounting workflows.

- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other core accounting activities supporting financial close and reporting processes.
- Research, establish, and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures in accordance with US GAAP and applicable requirements.
- Support internal controls and audit readiness through compliance administration, audit request coordination, testing, documentation, and follow-up.
- Design, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and greater operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of accounting projects and process gaps outside standard workflows, including unresolved reconciliation items and inefficient or undocumented processes, from investigation through resolution.
- Partner with finance, treasury, data, and other cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve systems, processes, and solutions with broad organizational impact.
- Provide reliable financial information and accounting support to senior stakeholders and department leaders to facilitate informed business decisions.
- Represent the accounting function effectively with internal teams and external partners while helping establish scalable practices as the organization grows.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, with 3–5 years of relevant professional accounting experience.
- Experience in a high-growth payments, fintech, or similarly complex environment is a strong advantage.
- 1–2 years of financial audit or consulting experience preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to analyze and work effectively with large and complex datasets.
- SQL, Python, or other data and automation experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new accounting, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled systems and tools; familiarity with Claude or Cowork is beneficial.
- Experience working across a broad range of accounting and reporting platforms, including Sage Intacct, FloQast, Looker, or comparable systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts clearly to cross-functional and external audiences.
- Strong ownership, adaptability, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer and must permanently reside within the United States.
- Base salary range of $120,000–$130,000 USD, with individual compensation determined by skills, experience, education, training, and other relevant factors.
