🧠 ABOUT THE ROLE

The SR TEAP Specialist reports to the Health and Wellness Manager and leads the center's Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Prevention/Intervention Program.

You'll work with Health Services, Mental Health, medical staff, center leadership, and community partners to help students address substance use concerns, make healthier choices, and stay focused on their goals.

🎯 You'll be responsible for:

• 🛡️ Developing and coordinating substance use prevention and intervention programs.
• 🎓 Providing education and training to students and staff.
• 🤝 Connecting students with appropriate community resources and treatment services.
• 📈 Monitoring student participation, behavior, and progress.
• 📋 Maintaining accurate, confidential records and required reports.
• 🩺 Collaborating with clinical and center leadership regarding student needs and interventions.
• 🌟 Modeling professionalism, accountability, respect, and the Career Success Standards.
• 🛡️ Helping maintain a center environment free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect.

💪 WHAT YOU BRING

✅ Required

🎓 Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field

💼 Minimum 5 years of related experience

📜 Active, unrestricted substance abuse license/certification meeting Missouri requirements

🚗 Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

❤️ Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

⭐ Preferred

🎓 Master's degree in a related field

👥 Experience working with at-promise or underserved youth

🏠 Residential youth experience

🧠 Experience in substance use prevention, counseling, intervention, or referrals

📜 MISSOURI CERTIFICATION

Don't have your MAADC yet? You may still qualify!

Certification eligibility depends on your education and experience. Candidates may qualify through several Missouri pathways, including those based on a:

🎓 Bachelor's degree or higher
🎓 Associate's degree/addiction certification
🏫 High school diploma/HSE with applicable education and experience

Additional requirements may include addiction education, ethics training, supervised experience, mentoring, and practicum hours.

HR will review your education, experience, and credentials to determine whether you meet the applicable certification pathway.
