This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Engenheira DevOps Sênior based in Brazil.
This is a senior, hands-on DevOps opportunity focused on building and operating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in a fully remote environment.
You will take ownership of AWS environments, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes workloads, CI/CD, automation, observability, and data-related integrations.
The role combines platform engineering with strong attention to security, reliability, governance, and cloud cost optimization.
You will work across services such as EKS, S3, RDS/Aurora, Lambda, DMS, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
There is also significant scope to automate operational and data workflows using Python, Bash, and SQL.
Your work will directly support resilient technology platforms while helping modernize infrastructure and strengthen compliance practices.
This is a strong fit for an autonomous engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving systems end to end.
- Design, provision, maintain, and optimize AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or Terragrunt, while applying AWS Well-Architected and FinOps principles.
- Manage S3 environments, including versioning, lifecycle policies, access governance, cost optimization, and secure cross-account access using IAM, KMS, and, where applicable, Lake Formation.
- Configure and operate cloud networking components such as subnets, VLANs, security groups, and route tables, as well as Kubernetes/EKS clusters and Helm-based tooling deployments.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure delivery, deployments, and operational automation.
- Build automation scripts and integrations using Python, Bash, SQL, Lambda Functions, API Gateway, and other managed AWS services.
- Support data migration and incremental ingestion processes, including Change Data Capture (CDC) using AWS DMS.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability for data pipelines, databases, infrastructure, and production workloads.
- Analyze and optimize RDS/Aurora performance using Performance Insights, Datadog DBM, or equivalent monitoring solutions.
- Establish centralized auditing, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege IAM practices to support security and regulatory requirements such as LGPD and PCI.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization, automation, cloud governance, and data-security initiatives while proactively identifying opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Proven professional experience working with AWS services, particularly S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, DMS, Lambda, IAM, Secrets Manager, Lake Formation, and CloudWatch.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform or Terragrunt.
- Strong experience with EKS/Kubernetes and Helm for deploying and configuring tools and workloads.
- Experience managing S3 buckets, including access policies, lifecycle management, versioning, and governance.
- Knowledge of MongoDB and other NoSQL database technologies.
- Practical understanding of cloud networking, including subnets, VLANs, security groups, and route tables.
- Experience developing automation using Python, SQL, and/or Bash.
- Familiarity with database observability and performance optimization, including AWS Performance Insights, Datadog DBM, or comparable tools.
- Understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM least privilege, encryption, secrets management, centralized logging, and auditing.
- Experience with data automation, migration, ingestion, or security projects is highly valued.
- AWS, Google Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Solutions Architect certifications are advantageous.
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
