Automotive Service Advisor in ELMHURST, Illinois at Elmhurst Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Elmhurst Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

We are looking for someone who understands that being a great Service Advisor is about more than writing repair orders. It's about building relationships, communicating clearly, helping customers understand their vehicle's needs, and working together with technicians and Parts to get the job done right.

What You'll Do

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact for your customers throughout their service visit. You'll help make sure they feel informed, comfortable, and confident from the moment they arrive until they pick up their vehicle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service drive.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them on repair orders.
• Review vehicle service history and manufacturer-recommended maintenance.
• Explain technician findings and recommended repairs in a way customers can easily understand.
• Present maintenance and repair recommendations and help customers make informed decisions.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding repair progress, pricing, and completion times.
• Work closely with technicians and the Parts Department to keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Review digital vehicle inspections and communicate findings with customers.
• Maintain accurate documentation for customer-pay and warranty repairs.
• Monitor your Work in Process (WIP) and ensure repair orders are completed and closed in a timely manner.
• Review completed repairs and invoices with customers at vehicle delivery.
• Follow up on concerns and help resolve customer issues professionally.
• Build relationships that encourage repeat and referral business.
• Maintain strong customer satisfaction and CSI performance.
• Follow dealership procedures and Stellantis/Mopar manufacturer guidelines.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is professional, personable, organized, and motivated. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership while still giving each customer the attention they deserve.

Preferred qualifications include:

• 2+ years of automotive dealership Service Advisor experience
• Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram or other Stellantis experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proven ability to present and sell maintenance and repair recommendations
• Understanding of dealership warranty processes
• Knowledge of repair order workflow, labor operations, and Parts coordination
• Experience managing multiple customers and repair orders at the same time
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Dealership Systems

• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds DMS is preferred.
• Experience with Xtime, digital vehicle inspections, maintenance menu selling, and manufacturer warranty systems is also a plus.
