Description:

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing Accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Payable function across our real estate property management portfolio.

The AP Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, supporting property-level accounting needs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who wants to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage the full accounts payable cycle for an assigned portfolio of properties, gain broader exposure to property-level accounting, and develop the skills necessary for future advancement within the Accounting organization.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable Operations

  • Assist the AP Manager with monitoring workflow, deadlines, and workload across the AP function.
  • Ensure invoices are properly coded to the appropriate property, vendor, general ledger account, and amount in a timely manner.
  • Review invoices for appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate invoices, missing approvals, and vendor issues.
  • Monitor AP aging and assist with ensuring invoices are paid according to established payment terms.
  • Backup to AP Manager for weekly check runs, ACH payments, wires, and other payment transactions as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor setup and changes.
  • Respond to property teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment questions.

Real Estate / Property Accounting Support

  • Work closely with Property Managers, Community Managers, Maintenance teams, and corporate accounting to resolve AP issues.
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
  • Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, reclasses, and other AP-related accounting entries.
  • Research outstanding items and assist in maintaining clean and accurate property-level financial records.
  • Serve as a key resource and backup to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Work Environment

This position is 100% in-office, Monday through Friday, in Radnor, Pennsylvania with the expectation that the office will be relocating to center city Philadelphia by 2Q27. We value collaboration, accountability, high standards, and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the organization. The role is designed for someone who enjoys being part of a team, building relationships, and contributing directly to a growing real estate investment platform.
