Job Description
LeoTech was founded by former law enforcement officers (LEOs) who recognized the need for a more
efficient, effective way to monitor authorized inmate correctional facility communications and quickly
search for critical information. Manually listening to millions of calls was not humanly possible, so we
developed the technology to solve these challenges. Verus, our patented search and analytics platform,
continuously monitors communication, unlocks critical information, and provides actionable insights to
help mitigate activity, solve crimes, and assist with mental health issues. Our mission is to enhance
public safety using innovative technology.
Role
A Verus Specialist is a 40-hour-per-week position and reports to the Director of Account Management.
The role of a Verus Specialist is to assist law enforcement in gathering information/ intelligence using the
Verus system. Verus is LeoTech’s patented search and analytics platform which continuously monitors
communications, unlocks critical information, and provides actionable insights to help mitigate criminal
activity, solve crimes, and assist with mental health issues. Verus Specialists are integral to responding to
requests and providing customers with actionable information/ intelligence concerning criminal behavior
and risk in the respective area of operation.
Requirements:CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize the Verus system to search for information/intelligence pertaining to criminal activity,
inmate mental health, contraband within a correctional facility environment, or other client
agency priorities as directed by LeoTech and/or client agency leadership.
• Verus Specialists are responsible for writing and submitting written reports as directed.
• Support Law Enforcement Agencies during exigent situations, as identified by LeoTech and the
client agency.
• Respond to requests for assistance made by LeoTech Management.
• Be able to work from home with limited or no supervision.
• Use tact, initiative, prudence, and independent judgment within general policy and legal
guidelines in politically sensitive situations.
• Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of LeoTech.
