Job Description

Vice President, US Sales & Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, US Sales & Marketing based in United States.

The Vice President, US Sales & Marketing will build and lead the U.S. commercial organization for an innovative Software as a Medical Device platform serving interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures.
This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity to bring a new technology to market, establish early-adopter centers, and create the commercial foundation for long-term growth.
You will develop the U.S. commercial strategy, lead the initial sales effort personally, and progressively build a focused sales organization.
The role combines sales leadership, market development, marketing, hospital contracting, and strategic clinical engagement with key opinion leaders.
You will work closely with clinical, product, regulatory, and engineering teams to translate market feedback into commercial and product priorities.
With approximately 60% travel, the position requires a highly visible leader who can build relationships with physicians, hospitals, GPOs, IDNs, and other healthcare stakeholders.
This is an opportunity to shape the adoption of an emerging category of technology within a fast-paced startup environment with significant ownership and influence.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and present the U.S. commercial strategy, operating plan, and budget for approval.
  • Lead the U.S. commercial launch and revenue growth, personally driving initial sales activities before building out the sales organization.
  • Identify, open, and close initial TAVR and electrophysiology/conduction system pacing centers.
  • Manage capital and per-procedure commercial models and ensure effective execution across customer accounts.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a focused sales team, including defining territories and compensation in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Lead hospital contracting, value-analysis committee processes, and GPO/IDN engagement in coordination with Commercial Operations.
  • Manage the U.S. commercial budget and ensure spending remains aligned with approved plans and strategic priorities.
  • Define market positioning and messaging for interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and hospital administration audiences.
  • Plan and execute the organization's presence at major industry meetings, including TCT, HRS, ACC, and relevant conduction system pacing and structural-heart conferences.
  • Direct sales collateral, case studies, digital content, and external marketing agencies where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with TAVR and EP/CSP key opinion leaders and implanting physicians.
  • Secure early adopters, clinical champions, podium opportunities, and other forms of clinical engagement.
  • Coordinate with clinical engineering teams and imaging-center resources to support customer cases and site onboarding.
  • Establish appropriate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM processes for a growing commercial organization.
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on pipeline development, conversions, market feedback, and commercial performance.
  • Share clinical and market insights with R&D and regulatory teams to inform product development and market strategy.
  • Deliver first-year commercial milestones, including launch execution, early-adopter center activation, sales team development, and establishment of a KOL advisory group.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in U.S. cardiovascular medical device sales, including at least 5 years in a sales leadership position at Regional/Area Director level or above.
  • Demonstrable personal network among electrophysiology/conduction system pacing opinion leaders and implanting physicians.
  • Established relationships with structural heart and TAVR operators are strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record launching new technologies or opening new clinical indications rather than exclusively managing mature product franchises.
  • Experience with capital and disposable sales models, hospital value-analysis processes, and GPO/IDN contracting.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with limited infrastructure, including developing strategy, creating operating plans, executing commercial initiatives, and building teams.
  • Strong commercial leadership, business development, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage physicians, hospital executives, commercial stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work effectively across sales, marketing, clinical, product, regulatory, and engineering functions.
  • Prior experience at a venture-backed medical device company through an initial U.S. launch is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cardiac imaging, including CT-based planning, or mapping systems is preferred.
  • Previous ownership of marketing responsibilities is preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with significant autonomy and evolving priorities.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60%, with the ability to support customer meetings, clinical engagements, conferences, and commercial activities throughout the U.S.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Base salary plus variable compensation.
  • Equity participation opportunity.
  • Remote U.S. work arrangement.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership in building a new commercial organization.
  • Opportunity to shape the U.S. launch and growth strategy for an innovative medical technology.
  • Direct exposure to physicians, key opinion leaders, hospital systems, and major healthcare stakeholders.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a focused sales organization from the ground up.
  • Fast-paced startup environment with close collaboration across commercial, clinical, product, regulatory, and engineering functions.
  • Approximately 60% travel supporting U.S. commercial and clinical activities.
