Role Overview
This important role is responsible for always maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors and staff, and always maintaining the integrity and appearance of the properties. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly, professionally, and thoroughly to all resident service requests and maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of items including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in all work areas—including units, mechanical rooms, storage, and common spaces.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure long-term functionality and avoid costly repairs.
- Participate in daily property walks, inspections, and work order management to uphold TPC’s brand standards.
- Prepare apartments for new residents with precision and care—making sure every home is spotless and fully operational before move-in.
- Support the property team in maintaining five-star presentation standards throughout the community, including common areas, amenities, and grounds.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with residents, treating every interaction as a customer service opportunity.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies with professionalism and urgency.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager and other team members to identify and resolve recurring issues or areas for improvement.
- Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent is required; college degree is a plus but not a requirement.
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance is required.
- OSHA, Hoisting, EPA or Mass CSL all a plus.
- Must be reliable and have a work history of excellent attendance.
- One year minimum experience in residential property management or related field is required.
