Position: Transportation Coordinator
Location: La Plata, Maryland
Job Status: Hourly, Part Time

Job Summary:
As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from treatment, medical appointments, and other authorized destinations. In addition, you will support operations by assisting with patient belongings processing, monitoring safety through rounding, and supporting the clinical team during downtime in transportation needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport patients and/or staff safely and punctually to assigned destinations
Complete and document daily vehicle inspections
Communicate with leadership regarding any transportation, safety, or vehicle concerns
Coordinate with admissions, clinical, and nursing teams on patient movement
Process patient belongings during admissions and visitation (search and debugging procedures)
Perform patient rounds and complete all associated documentation
Assist with de-escalation or re-engagement needs as necessary
Support departmental operations during periods of low transport activities
Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and acceptable MVR record
CPR certification and/or willingness to participate in training to receive certification
If in recovery, a minimum one - year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles
Schedule:
Part-time: Rotating Hours
Every Other Weekend Required
Compensation:
$22 per hour
