Training Specialist, PX & Patient Coordinators

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Training Specialist, PX & Patient Coordinators based in the United States.

This role is focused on creating impactful learning experiences that improve the performance of patient-facing teams.
You will design, deliver, and continuously enhance training programs that support both onboarding and ongoing development.
The position combines live facilitation, coaching, instructional design, and data-driven training optimization.
You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure learning content aligns with operational goals, quality standards, and evolving processes.

Accountabilities:

The Training Specialist will own the delivery and improvement of training programs for patient experience and patient coordination teams. This role requires a balance of strong facilitation skills, coaching expertise, content development capabilities, and analytical thinking to ensure employees have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.

  • Facilitate live instructor-led training sessions for new hires, covering systems, workflows, call handling practices, compliance expectations, and role-specific processes.
  • Deliver targeted remediation and coaching sessions based on quality reviews, performance trends, and leadership feedback.
  • Provide individualized coaching and group support to strengthen employee confidence, improve behaviors, and drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Design, build, and maintain learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS), including eLearning modules, knowledge checks, job aids, and training resources.
  • Transform operational documentation, procedures, and quality standards into clear and engaging learning experiences.
  • Use AI-powered tools and modern learning technologies to improve content creation, workflow efficiency, and training effectiveness.
  • Track training metrics such as completion rates, assessment results, remediation progress, and time-to-proficiency indicators.
  • Prepare reporting and insights for leadership, identifying trends and opportunities to improve curriculum and learner outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate training documentation, ensuring content remains current, compliant, and aligned with approved processes.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Document Control, and leadership teams to identify training needs and support business initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings experience in training, instructional design, and performance coaching, with the ability to support customer-facing or revenue-generating teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, or a related field, preferably within healthcare, patient services, or contact center environments.
  • Experience training inside sales teams, patient coordinators, or other performance-driven roles where employee effectiveness impacts business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success facilitating live training sessions for adult learners in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Strong coaching abilities with experience providing actionable feedback and driving measurable behavior change.
  • Hands-on experience developing and managing content within an LMS or similar learning platform.
  • Experience tracking training metrics, analyzing learner performance, and preparing reports for stakeholders.
  • Strong technology skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems, platforms, and digital tools.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or AI-enabled learning solutions to improve workflows and content development.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment where processes and priorities evolve frequently.
  • Preferred qualifications include training certifications such as ATD CPTD/APTD, project management certifications, experience with eLearning authoring tools, healthcare terminology knowledge, HIPAA familiarity, and experience supporting QA-driven remediation programs.
