As a Senior Analyst, you will provide hands-on technical analysis and project evaluation support to ensure reimbursement-funded initiatives are practical, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will review proposals, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver insights that support effective funding decisions.
- Conduct detailed technical reviews of proposed reimbursement projects, assessing feasibility, implementation readiness, operational requirements, and alignment with objectives.
- Evaluate funding requests against regulatory requirements, program guidelines, covered-cost criteria, and reimbursement policies.
- Analyze project scopes, supporting documentation, cost assumptions, implementation plans, and expected outcomes to determine project viability.
- Assess whether proposed initiatives support strategic priorities, including compliance, operational improvement, sustainability, modernization, and measurable program impact.
- Identify gaps, risks, unsupported assumptions, and areas requiring additional clarification before projects advance through review processes.
- Prepare clear findings, recommendations, questions, and decision-support materials for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, operations, finance, data, compliance, and program teams to gather relevant insights.
- Conduct technical, regulatory, operational, and economic research to support project assessments.
- Maintain high-quality documentation practices with strong attention to traceability, audit readiness, and review consistency.
- Contribute to improving review procedures, templates, tools, and workflows by identifying process enhancement opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, technical project evaluation experience, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational environments. You should be comfortable reviewing detailed documentation, assessing feasibility, and communicating recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, environmental science, environmental studies, public administration, economics, data analytics, project management, or a related field.
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in technical project review, infrastructure assessment, operations analysis, regulated programs, reimbursement review, or related areas.
- Experience evaluating project scopes, costs, implementation plans, regulatory alignment, and technical documentation.
- Strong ability to interpret regulations, program requirements, and funding criteria and apply them to specific project situations.
- Demonstrated ability to assess operational feasibility, implementation dependencies, risks, and practical constraints.
- Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear recommendations and technical documentation.
- Ability to work with financial, operational, performance, and project data to evaluate funding requests and project assumptions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, documentation quality, and audit preparedness.
- Ability to work effectively in evolving environments, manage ambiguity, and adapt priorities as needed.
- Experience with recycling operations, environmental programs, infrastructure projects, municipal programs, EPR initiatives, or regulated funding programs is preferred.
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately $106,000 to $126,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
