The Staff DevOps Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and reliability practices. This role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration across teams, and the ability to establish scalable solutions that improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable, and high-performance production platforms and services.
- Build and maintain resilient infrastructure solutions and deployment patterns in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, promoting engineering excellence and operational best practices.
- Drive automation, standardization, and documentation initiatives to reduce operational complexity and improve consistency.
- Contribute across the full platform lifecycle, including architecture, development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical services and maintain platform availability.
- Improve reliability through SRE practices, observability, incident response, and continuous operational improvements.
- Support secure software delivery practices through automation, CI/CD improvements, and infrastructure governance.
- Collaborate with teams to implement scalable cloud solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering, with a strong background in automation, reliability, and distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering, or software engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and large-scale container orchestration.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language, combined with scripting and automation capabilities.
- Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles and secure engineering practices.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar solutions.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals and distributed systems concepts.
- Strong Linux and/or Windows systems administration experience.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery processes.
- Understanding of SRE concepts, including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, availability, observability, and reducing operational toil.
- Experience managing Elasticsearch in production environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and networking concepts is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a global, distributed environment.
