This is a full-time, Dallas-based position.

Responsibilities
  • Independently perform high-quality, reproducible nerve-conduction studies in accordance with physician direction, established protocols, and applicable professional standards.
  • Prepare patients for NCS and EMG procedures; explain the testing process, answer appropriate questions, and help patients feel informed and comfortable.
  • Support the neurologist during EMG testing by ensuring proper room, patient, equipment, and documentation readiness.
  • Recognize technical issues that may affect study accuracy, troubleshoot within scope, and promptly escalate concerns to the supervising physician when appropriate.
  • Obtain, document, and maintain accurate clinical information, testing data, and required records in the electronic health record.
  • Ensure NCS/EMG rooms, equipment, supplies, electrodes, and related materials are clean, stocked, functional, and ready for scheduled patient care.
  • Follow infection-prevention, patient-safety, privacy, HIPAA, and organizational policies at all times.
  • Assist with appropriate clinical and administrative workflow needs during non-testing periods, including patient intake, rooming, scheduling support, documentation, and coordination with clinic staff.
  • Participate in workflow standardization, quality improvement, and the growth of MaxHealth’s neurodiagnostic services.
Required Qualifications
  • Current, active Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) credential.
  • Recent experience independently performing nerve-conduction studies in an EMG/EDX, neurology, PM&R, orthopedic/spine, pain-management, occupational-medicine, or comparable clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain technically sound, reproducible NCS results and identify or troubleshoot common technical issues.
  • Experience supporting physician-performed EMG testing and working effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment.
  • Strong patient-communication skills, professional judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient privacy and safety.
  • Ability to work a regular full-time Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of an active outpatient clinical role, including standing, walking, assisting patients as appropriate, and handling clinical equipment and supplies.
Preferred qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Two or more years of recent experience as an R.NCS.T., EMG/NCV technologist, or electrodiagnostic technologist.
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks or another ambulatory electronic health record system.
  • Experience working in a multi-site outpatient healthcare organization.
  • Medical assistant, phlebotomy, patient-intake, scheduling, or other cross-functional outpatient clinic experience.
  • Familiarity with quality-control processes, documentation standards, and standardized testing protocols for NCS/EMG services.
What we offer

  • The opportunity to use your specialized R.NCS.T. expertise as a core member of a growing neurodiagnostic service line.
  • Direct collaboration with a neurologist and multidisciplinary outpatient care teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to clinical workflow development, quality standards, and service-line expansion.
  • Benefits in accordance with MaxHealth policy.
