Installation Technician – Patient Lift Systems

Are you a skilled journeyman or have carpentry skills with solid construction experience?

As an Installation Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective deployment of overhead patient lift systems across various locations, including all 50 states and overseas territories. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for quality and compliance, supporting healthcare facilities in delivering outstanding patient care.

This is working away from home position. 4 weeks out one week at home rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, build, and certify overhead patient lift systems in accordance with all local, state, and federal code requirements
  • Install and troubleshoot patient lift systems at healthcare facilities, ensuring safety and functionality
  • Conduct site assessments and collaborate with clients and project teams to determine optimal system configurations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes and compliance certifications
  • Travel extensively, typically four weeks on-site followed by one week at home, to support installations nationwide
  • Adhere to industry-leading building practices and safety standards during all phases of installation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in carpentry or as journeyman in commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to patient handling systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical skills
  • Ability to travel extensively and work independently in diverse environments
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently

Education/Experience

High school diploma (minimum) and 3-5 years construction/ Installation experience working with framing, ceiling boards, low voltage etc.

Physical Demands

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
