Job Description

JAKKS Pacific, Inc is seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our employees, visitors, photoshoot talent, vendors, and other guests from our Poway location. This position plays an important role in keeping our office welcoming, organized, and running smoothly while providing administrative and operational support across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, creative environment. This is a full-time, onsite position requiring five days per week in the office


Key Responsibilities:

Reception & Visitor Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, photoshoot talent, and other guests.
  • Welcome photoshoot models and their parents and direct them to the appropriate photoshoot area.
  • Manage visitor entrance and exit from the building and help maintain a professional and welcoming reception environment.
  • Keep the reception and lobby areas clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

    • Office & Administrative Support

  • Receive and distribute mail, Amazon packages, lunch orders, and other deliveries.
  • Process invoices and purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies, including paper products and other essentials.
  • Order water for office water stations and ensure supplies are maintained.
  • Order coffee and keep office coffee stations clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Maintain snacks and beverages for visitors, meetings, and photoshoots.
  • Coordinate and order team lunches when needed.
  • Maintain and update the employee Blackboard each month.
  • Assist various departments with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate building inspections and maintenance as needed.

    • Shipping, Facilities & Warehouse Support

  • Oversee the shipping and receiving area, including incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments.
  • Create FedEx shipping labels and assist with coordinating outgoing packages and shipments.
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient shipping area.
  • Coordinate and schedule building inspections and exterior maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with organizing and cleaning the warehouse to create space for incoming and new product.

    • Meetings, Events & Special Projects

  • Assist with meeting and event setup and breakdown.
  • Help coordinate company events, holiday parties, employee lunches, and other office activities.
  • Order samples and assist with organization and coordination for Comic-Con.
  • Overseee donations and making space for new product coming into warehouse.
  • Provide additional support for company initiatives, events, photoshoots, and special projects as needed.

    • Required Skills:

  • Prior experience in reception, administrative support, office coordination, or a similar role preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with employees, executives, visitors, parents, children, vendors, and outside partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative, and changing environment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move office supplies, packages, samples, or even materials.

  • Compensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $18.00- $22.00 an hour.
