Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse

The Opportunity

Join our high-performing surgical team as a CVOR Registered Nurse. In this role, you will deliver high-acuity care to patients undergoing life-saving open-heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures. You will thrive in a fast-paced, sterile environment, directly impacting patient outcomes when they matter most.

What You Will Do

  • Drive surgical excellence by seamlessly transitioning between circulating and scrubbing roles.
  • Collaborate in real time with surgeons and perfusionists to monitor patient hemodynamics.
  • Master advanced technology by managing specialized, cutting-edge cardiovascular equipment.
  • Champion patient safety across the entire perioperative journey.
  • Lead smooth transitions from pre-op assessments through intra-operative assistance to post-surgical handoffs.
  • Protect the sterile field by maintaining absolute adherence to infection control techniques.

What You Bring

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Proven experience in a high-volume CVOR or surgical setting.
  • Deep knowledge of advanced hemodynamic monitoring and sterile protocols.
  • Ability to think critically and stay calm under pressure.
Hourly Pay Range: $41.56 - $61.30
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience with at least 1 – 2 years in CVOR.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS obtained for an American Heart Association approved training center.
  • CNOR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
  • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to patient safety, advocacy, and quality outcomes
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning and equipment handling
