Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Digital Workplace & Automation Specialist based in United States.
This is a foundational, hands-on role shaping how a fast-growing, remote-first organization works with technology.
You will own day-to-day digital workplace operations, from device provisioning and access management to employee IT support.
At the same time, you will identify repetitive business processes and turn them into practical AI-powered automations.
The role combines IT operations, workplace technology, process improvement, and emerging AI capabilities in one high-impact position.
You will work closely with People, Technology, and business teams to remove friction and improve how employees get work done.
As the organization scales, you will help define the roadmap, governance, and systems needed to support a growing distributed workforce.
This is an ideal opportunity for a curious, autonomous technology professional who enjoys both solving immediate problems and building smarter ways of working.
- Own end-to-end IT provisioning for new hires, including hardware ordering, device management, account creation, software access, and remote onboarding.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues while coordinating with external vendors when necessary.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, provisioning, and deprovisioning across core workplace platforms, ensuring access remains appropriate throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and workplace technology assets, identifying opportunities to consolidate or optimize tools.
- Partner with technology leadership on IT governance, security baselines, device compliance, access reviews, and vendor management.
- Develop and continuously improve IT onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a consistent experience for remote employees.
- Identify repetitive, low-value workflows across Operations, General & Administrative, Product, Sales, and Marketing functions that could benefit from AI or automation.
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered automations, agentic workflows, and integrations using platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Make.com, Zapier, n8n, Lovable, or similar tools.
- Work directly with process owners to map existing workflows, identify automation opportunities, implement solutions, and provide lightweight documentation for ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with technology leadership on AI tooling, governance, security, and scope boundaries between workplace automation and broader technology initiatives.
- Measure automation performance through metrics such as hours saved, reduced errors and rework, and transaction volume, using ROI data to prioritize future initiatives.
- Serve as a bridge between People/HR, Technology, and business teams, ensuring technology solutions remain practical, secure, and employee-focused.
- Demonstrated experience in IT support, workplace technology, digital operations, or a related technical environment, ideally within a remote or distributed organization.
- Practical knowledge of IT fundamentals, including device management/MDM, identity and access management, SaaS administration, and workplace technology.
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered automation and agentic workflows, including tools such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Make.com, Zapier, n8n, or comparable platforms.
- Proven ability to build and deploy AI-powered automations that solve real business problems and are actively used by other people, rather than simply experimenting with AI tools personally.
- Strong process-mapping and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex or manual workflows into practical automated solutions.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to switch between hands-on IT troubleshooting and longer-term automation and technology planning.
- Strong written communication skills and a documentation-first approach, with the ability to create clear guidance for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently as the primary owner of a function while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
- Experience collaborating with both People/HR and Technology/Engineering stakeholders.
- English fluency is required; French proficiency is an advantage.
- Experience scaling workplace technology during periods of rapid organizational growth is a plus.
- Experience as a first or solo hire building a workplace technology or automation function from the ground up is desirable.
- Familiarity with Deel IT, Google Workspace administration, MDM platforms, or comparable identity and device-management environments is beneficial.
- Genuine interest in using technology to improve employee experiences and make organizations more efficient is highly valued.
- Salary: $70,000–$95,000 USD, depending on experience.
- Fully remote work within the United States.
- Meaningful opportunity to use technology and AI to improve people's lives.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Free One Medical membership.
- 401(k) with company match.
- 20 days of paid time off.
- 10 paid holidays.
- 80 hours of paid sick leave.
- Monthly phone and internet stipend.
- Annual team offsite.
- Opportunity to collaborate with an international team across the US, France, and Belgium.
- A culture focused on trust, collaboration, optimism, curiosity, and professional growth.
