This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Consultant, Network Security based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to lead complex cybersecurity engagements and help organizations strengthen their security posture through objective, technically rigorous assessments. You will perform advanced network penetration testing, with a particular focus on internal environments and Active Directory vulnerabilities. As a senior technical contributor, you will work directly with clients while collaborating with project managers, delivery teams, quality teams, and security specialists. The role combines hands-on offensive security expertise with consulting, technical leadership, and mentoring responsibilities. You will assess vulnerabilities in their real-world context, communicate risk clearly, and help clients make informed security decisions. The position is well suited to an experienced cybersecurity consultant who enjoys solving challenging problems across evolving technologies.
- Lead and support cybersecurity engagements independently and collaboratively, ensuring technical objectives, project requirements, and client expectations are met.
- Perform advanced network penetration testing and security assessments, with a strong focus on internal networks and exploiting Active Directory vulnerabilities.
- Lead complex engagements and establish a consistent technical approach across multiple assessments and testing activities.
- Assess emerging, customized, and complex technologies by adapting penetration testing techniques and methodologies as required.
- Contextualize identified vulnerabilities and evaluate their realistic business and security impact, taking mitigating and aggravating factors into account.
- Maintain strong technical depth within network security and relevant offensive security domains while continuously developing expertise in emerging technologies.
- Manage priorities, project tasks, and utilization requirements while ensuring deliverables remain on schedule.
- Produce high-quality technical and executive-level reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, recommendations, and business impact.
- Lead client calls, including project kickoffs, technical discussions, and engagement debriefs, while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Delivery Directors, Quality Management, Sales, and other delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
- Mentor teammates, share technical knowledge, and provide subject matter expertise across relevant cybersecurity domains.
- Support business development by helping scope prospective engagements and providing technical input into potential client opportunities.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security and at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or professional services.
- Expert-level proficiency in network penetration testing, particularly internal network assessments and Active Directory exploitation.
- Strong knowledge of network penetration testing tradecraft, methodologies, security principles, and industry best practices.
- Strong working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical engagements and operate effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent consulting and time-management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, complete adjacent tasks, meet deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead client meetings, project kickoffs, technical discussions, and debriefs.
- Strong written communication and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings effectively to both executive and technical audiences.
- Strong expertise in at least one additional security domain, such as social engineering, physical penetration testing, mobile application penetration testing, thick application testing, hardware testing, secure code review, container penetration testing, cloud penetration testing, AI penetration testing, or related offensive security disciplines.
- Experience or strong interest in emerging security technologies and the ability to adapt assessment methodologies to custom environments.
- OSCP, OSCE, OSEE, or other offensive security certifications are highly valued.
- Significant software development or engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience with cloud penetration testing across platforms such as AWS or GCP is advantageous.
- Additional experience in mobile security, red/purple team operations, social engineering, network administration, database administration, or systems administration is beneficial.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional, Security, Advanced Networking, or SysOps Administrator are a plus.
