FULL-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – CITY OFSUMMIT, UNION COUNTY
Summit, NJ, a vibrant community ofapproximately 22,000 residents, situated 20 miles west of Manhattan, is seekinga qualified, energetic and self-motivated individual for the permanent full-timeposition of AdministrativeAssistant to join the fast-paced and diversified Office of the City Clerk. Thishighly confidential administrative support position will include writingcorrespondence, responding to residents, vendors and contractors, creating/preparingconfidential documents and reports, answering phone calls, proofreading, maintainingfiles and records, all while displaying the utmost discretion andprofessionalism. The individual must be comfortable interacting with electedofficials, management staff, employees, representatives of outside agencies andthe general public. The desired candidate must be hardworking, detail-oriented,possess outstanding customer service, communications, and computer skills, and mustbe competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office. Exceptional interpersonal andstrong organizational skills are required, along with the ability to multi-task,be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the position. Priormunicipal government experience is preferred. Compensation is DoQ. Salary range: $48,400 - $72,975.
