ATHLETICS PROGRAM DRIVER

Washington Montessori School is an independent, coeducational day school serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. POSITION OVERVIEW
Washington Montessori School is seeking a part-time Sports Van Driver for the 2026–27 school year. This position supports the Upper Elementary and Middle School athletic program and is ideal for someone who is energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with young athletes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a team driver for three sports seasons, transporting student-athletes to and from away games and meets in 14-passenger school vans.
Must hold or be willing to obtain an “A” endorsement on a valid Connecticut driver’s license prior to transporting students.
Follow all school and state regulations for student transportation, ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers.
SCHEDULE
The standard weekly commitment for this position is as follows:
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 3:15–5:00 pm
All commitments follow the school’s athletic calendar. There are typically 5–6 early departure or late return days per season to accommodate travel to away events; candidates must be flexible around these occasional schedule variations. There are no weekend commitments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills & Competencies
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to obtain a Connecticut “A” endorsement required.
Ability to maintain a calm, safe, and positive environment for student-athletes at all times.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator.
Alignment with the Montessori values of the school and a commitment to student-centered athletics.
