Managing Broker

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Managing Broker based in Canada.

This remote leadership role offers the opportunity to support and strengthen brokerage operations within a dynamic, technology-driven real estate environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and exceptional support for real estate professionals.
The position combines brokerage expertise, risk management, agent enablement, and strategic leadership.
You will collaborate with internal teams, industry associations, and agents to improve processes and drive business success.

Accountabilities:

As a Managing Broker, you will support provincial brokerage operations by ensuring compliance, providing leadership to agents, improving operational processes, and enabling technology adoption. You will work closely with leadership teams to maintain high standards of service, risk management, and agent success.

  • Support the administration and execution of brokerage operations at the provincial level in alignment with applicable real estate regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and timely support to agents on transaction processes, compliance requirements, licensing matters, and operational questions.
  • Review transactions, contracts, and documentation to ensure legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance.
  • Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of risk management programs, compliance procedures, and brokerage operation manuals.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions covering contracts, regulatory updates, licensing requirements, compliance practices, and industry standards.
  • Build strong relationships with agents, internal teams, industry associations, and external partners.
  • Promote a culture focused on integrity, collaboration, transparency, innovation, and agent success.
  • Support agent onboarding, license transfers, operational requests, and communication between agents and internal departments.
  • Monitor operational performance indicators and provide reporting and insights to leadership.
  • Support strategic initiatives that improve brokerage efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Help drive adoption of digital platforms, technology tools, and cloud-based solutions across the agent network.
  • Partner with technology and training teams to improve workflows, identify challenges, and support innovation initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from agents and field operations to help enhance systems, processes, and user experiences.
  • Mediate complex transaction or operational issues when required, applying strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced real estate professional with strong brokerage operations expertise, regulatory knowledge, and leadership capabilities. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while supporting a large network of agents and stakeholders.

  • Active real estate broker designated license with relevant continuing education in real estate management and legal compliance.
  • Must be bilingual in English and French.
  • Proven experience managing or supervising a medium to large brokerage firm, particularly within operations or compliance functions.
  • Strong understanding of real estate regulations, including provincial and federal requirements, FINTRAC, privacy legislation, ethics standards, MLS rules, and compliance obligations.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams while maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across different levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal partners in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Strong operational and strategic thinking skills with the ability to drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, solve complex problems, and manage competing priorities.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Experience with brokerage technology platforms such as Broker Wolf, SkySlope, EZ MAX, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, CRM systems, transaction management tools, and technology adoption initiatives is an advantage.
  • Active membership in relevant Canadian real estate associations and local councils in good standing.
  • Willingness and ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to operate effectively from a fully remote work environment.
