Shipping and Receiving Technician in Pomona, California at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare

Central Supply Shipping and receiving tech is responsible for ordering, shipping, receiving, dispensing and managing inventory of disposable supplies required by medical, nursing or para-medical personnel in designated departments, for the care, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: supply restocking, shipping and receiving, working with Information Systems to coordinate charges and billing, management of delivering internal and external parcels received (order accuracy, timeliness, and quality controls). The employee is expected to attend meetings as required by the Materials & Purchasing Manager and perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years previous shipping and receiving experience Prior service in other Hospital environment experience preferred.
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals; both internal and external to the organization.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and remain organized with large volume of parcels and delivers each day
• Must have a Working knowledge of inventory, shipping, receiving, and disposing of hospital goods and supplies.
• Capable of safely performing functions indigenous to the position including sitting and or standing for long periods of time, mobility, lifting, squatting, reaching over head, and repetitive use of the upper extremities. Pay: $21.00-$21.50/hr
