About the role
- CBH Medical is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Health Services Administrator within a correctional healthcare setting. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the medical department by providing administrative, clerical, and organizational support. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Health Services Administrator.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations related to medical operations.
- Maintain departmental calendars, schedules, and meeting coordination.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and distribution of policies and procedures.
- Track, organize, and maintain compliance documentation for audits, inspections, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with ordering medical supplies as needed.
- Support onboarding and administrative processes for healthcare staff.
- Maintain confidential records and ensure accurate documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative or secretarial experience required.
- Medical office or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- Typing speed of 45–50 WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a correctional healthcare environment.
