This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Source to Contract Associate - Procurement Services (SaaS/Tech) based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to support strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives for clients across the technology and SaaS landscape. You will manage sourcing projects from initial request validation through supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution. Working across multiple projects, you’ll combine analytical thinking, project management, supplier engagement, and client service skills. The position involves exposure to RFx processes, reverse auctions, software licensing, professional services, and other technology-related categories. You’ll collaborate closely with client stakeholders and procurement specialists to develop effective sourcing strategies and deliver measurable value. The role is well suited to a self-driven professional who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and improving procurement processes.
- Manage approximately 5–12 sourcing projects simultaneously, ranging from straightforward to complex initiatives, with appropriate independence and accountability.
- Validate sourcing requests, assess requirements, identify information gaps, and communicate with requesters to obtain the details needed to launch projects successfully.
- Lead sourcing activities from start to finish, including spend analysis, market research, supplier discovery, RFx development and management, reverse auctions, negotiations, and bid analysis.
- Execute sourcing and contract activities across technology, SaaS, software licensing, professional services, and corporate services categories.
- Develop sourcing packages, publish opportunities to qualified suppliers, monitor supplier participation, and provide guidance on sourcing processes and milestones.
- Conduct supplier orientation and training while maintaining clear communication throughout the sourcing process.
- Analyze supplier proposals in depth, facilitate supplier evaluations, synthesize findings, and prepare concise recommendations and presentations for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with client category managers and subject matter experts to determine sourcing strategies, methodologies, and project approaches.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, timelines, status updates, and other sourcing records.
- Develop and customize RFx, pricing, and proposal evaluation templates to support consistent and efficient delivery.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance sourcing quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and methodologies while maintaining strong client service and stakeholder relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business, supply chain, operations, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, operations, supply chain, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, eSourcing processes, RFx development, supplier management, and procurement project execution.
- Experience using eSourcing platforms such as Ariba, Procuri, Iasta, Zycus, or ERP-based sourcing modules; familiarity with Claude is preferred.
- Experience or working knowledge of software, SaaS, professional services, technology, or corporate services sourcing and enterprise licensing negotiations.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and other functions used to analyze, organize, and present procurement data.
- Ability to synthesize complex information, draw meaningful conclusions, and develop recommendations aligned with client objectives.
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, time management, multitasking, milestone tracking, and critical-path management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills, including the ability to resolve issues professionally and navigate sensitive client situations.
- Demonstrated teamwork, sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to learn client-specific processes, systems, terminology, and requirements quickly.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to manage projects independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.
- Base salary range of $75,000–$90,000 annually, depending on location, experience, education, certifications, skills, and relevant expertise.
