ABOUT THE JOB
Responsible for growing (and defending) sales of OUP IB and CAIE publishing in agreed states. Person in role will generate sales by networking at State and District Education department level, Association level, school level (through face-to-face activity) and conference level and ensure the successful achievement of sales objectives whilst safeguarding and developing the company image in the market place.
Job Responsibilities:
Sales Performance:
Achieve sales goals and objectives, both for individual region as well as shared US team goal.
Sales Techniques & Product Knowledge:
Demonstrate effective consultative sales techniques following Sales Training Models. Use your communication, presentation and negotiation skills to good effect to maximize sales results. Build knowledge of International Education lists including backlist titles so that you can take full advantage of all sales opportunities.
Territory Management:
Plan and carry out focused visits to schools, districts, and state departments of education in region regularly to drive sales. Identify and attend key conferences, including: IB Americas conference, IB Regional workshops, and IB Association conferences.
Opportunity Tracking and Data Collection:
Using Salesforce (OUP CRM) keep all records up to date and collect required data on all appointments, meetings, events, and opportunities.
Self-Management:
You will manage yourself on a day to day basis working towards agreed sales targets, termly priorities and department objectives. Trip reports, spirit updates, calendars, expenses, office forms will all be kept up to date and submitted in a timely manner. All systems will be used effectively and any training needs to be highlighted quickly to your manager.
