Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Bedford Park, Illinois at Schold Manufacturing, LLC

Schold Manufacturing | Chicago, IL (near Midway Airport)

Responsibilities:

• Manage the movement of goods in and out of Schold
• Receive and inspect goods
  • Accept deliveries, check for damages, and verify Purchase Orders
• Preparing shipment
  • Package items, print pack lists and labels, and track the location of items on the floor
  • Palletize LTL shipments when required.
• Track inventory and record data in MRP System (Infor Visual)
  • Distribute items to other departments
  • Store goods in designated areas
  • Verifying items and quantities received match Schold purchase order.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, or other labeling equipment.
  • Maintaining the integrity of inventory accuracy
  • Manage Kan Ban system
• Track project hours in MRP System (Infor Visual)
• Maintaining a clean and organized shipping area.
• Operating a forklift, pallet jack, electronic scales, shrink wrapper, bar code scanner/labels, and banders as required.
• Communicate with others
  • Work with Drivers, Customer Service, and Logistics Representatives to coordinate shipments
  • Work with Vendors for outside services
  • Preparing shipments
    • Quote shipment with vendors and schedule shipment
  • Work with Schold team members in a professional manner i.e. engineers, assembly, machine shop, welding and other team members
• Strong work ethic, reliable, and always have a constructive attitude.
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Work without supervision towards achieving strict deadlines.
• Ensure that Schold health and safety measures are adhered to.
• Complete all tasks on time.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Computer proficiency
• Organizational skills
• Experience with material handling equipment
